Directions (1-): The questions given below contain two statements giving certain data. You have to decide whether the data given in the statements are sufficient for answering the question. Mark answer—
(1) If statement I alone is sufficient but statement II alone is not sufficient.

1. What is the teacher's age?
(I) The average are of 10 students and their teacher is 25 years.
(II) The teacher's age is 10 years more than the age of the oldest student.

2. How many marks did Akshay get?
(I) The marks got by Akshay is equal to average marks of Namita and Mona.
(II) Namita got 80 marks which is 60% more than the marks get by Mona.

3. What amount of profit did Sheetal make by selling a watch?
(I) She sold it at 20 percent profit on the labelled price.
(II) She bought the watch at 50 percent -discount on labelled price.

4. What is the rate of simple interest per annum?
(I) The sum tripples in 20 years at simple interest.
(II) The difference between sum and simple interest in 10 years is Rs. 1000

5. 3 boys and 1 girl completed a piece of work in 4 days. In how many days will 2 girls and 2 boys complete the same work?

In a conference total 240 students are there. Out of them 25% konw Latin, 50% know French and 62.5% know English. 10 students know ail three languages. 25/3 % of students know Latin and French but does not know English and the same number of students know Latin and English but does not know French.

Akshay =  (Namita + Mona)/2
Statement (I) from.
Namita = Mona × 160/100
80 = Mona × 60/100
Mona = 50
Akshay = (80 + 50)/2 = 65

Time taken by 1 girls to complete the work = 5 × 4 = 20 days

Time taken by 2 boys to complete the work = 1/4 - 1/20 = 5 days
       = 5 days
From (II)
We can find the ratio of numbers of boys and girls. So either of the statement is necessary.
