Answers with Explanation:

1.(1) Let total no’s of cake = 100
& CP of each coke = 1 Rs.
MP of each coke = 1.4
SP of 24% coke = 24 * 0.8 = 19.2
SP of 60% coke = 60 * 1.4 = 84
Total SP = 84 + 19.2 = 103.2
Profit = 103.2 – 100
Profit = 3.2%

2.(5) Let partially  fixed expenditure be x & partially varying be y
x + 24 y = 615 * 24 …. (i)
x + 40y = 465 * 40 …. (ii)
from Eq. (i) & (ii)
y = 240 & x = 9000
required average = (9000+240*60)/60 = 390

3.(3) Let present age of A’s = 7x & B’s = 9x
So,(7x-6)/(9x-6) = 1*3/2*3
x = 6/5
ratio after 6 years
(7 * 6/5 + 6) /( 9 * 6/5 + 6) = 6 : 7

4.(2) Ratio of their efficiency
A : B : C = 1/12 : 1/15 : 1/24
= 10 : 8 : 5
So, required pages= 8*506/23 = 176

5.(1) Let CP = 100
& CP = 115
But he also uses 920 gm in place of 1kg
Also earn = 8% profit
Now actual CP = 100 – 8 = 92
Total profit % = (8+15)/92 * 100 = 25%

6.(2)

7.(4)

8.(3)

9.(5)

10.(1)
