ANSWERS AND SOLUTION :
1.(1) Total cost of typewriter
= Rs. (1200 + 200) = Rs. 1400
S.P. = Rs. 1680
Profit = Rs. (1680 – 1400)
= Rs. 280
so Profit% = 280/1400 × 100 = 20%
2.(1)
3.(2)Let the cost price be Rs. 100
so marked price = (100+15% of 100)= Rs.115
The goods are sold at the discount of 12%
so SP = (115 - 12% of 115)
= Rs. (115 - 13.80)
= Rs. 101.20
profit = (101.20 - 100)
Rs. 1.20
so profit % = 1.20/100*100 = 1.2 %
= 1 1/5 %
4.(4)
5.(2)
6.(3)
7.(3)
Required population after two years = 18000(1+10/100)^2
= 217800
8.(1)
9.(3)
Total weight of 24 students = 24*35 = 840 kg
Total weight of 25 persons with teacher = 25*35.4 = 885 kg
so Weight of teacher =(885-840) = 45 kg
10. (1)
1.(1) Total cost of typewriter
= Rs. (1200 + 200) = Rs. 1400
S.P. = Rs. 1680
Profit = Rs. (1680 – 1400)
= Rs. 280
so Profit% = 280/1400 × 100 = 20%
2.(1)
3.(2)Let the cost price be Rs. 100
so marked price = (100+15% of 100)= Rs.115
The goods are sold at the discount of 12%
so SP = (115 - 12% of 115)
= Rs. (115 - 13.80)
= Rs. 101.20
profit = (101.20 - 100)
Rs. 1.20
so profit % = 1.20/100*100 = 1.2 %
= 1 1/5 %
4.(4)
5.(2)
6.(3)
7.(3)
Required population after two years = 18000(1+10/100)^2
= 217800
8.(1)
9.(3)
Total weight of 24 students = 24*35 = 840 kg
Total weight of 25 persons with teacher = 25*35.4 = 885 kg
so Weight of teacher =(885-840) = 45 kg
10. (1)
