1. (b)
Difference of (24-20) = 4% of list price is Rs. 800
=> List price = 800/4%
So cost price = 80% of list price = 80*800/4 = 16,000

2. (a)
Cost price of 1 pen = 10/7,sale price of 1 pen = (1.4*10)/7 = Rs.2
No. of pens = 14/2 = 7

3. (d)
4. (b)
Using (100+G)/(100+x) = true weight/false weight so cp = sp
so x = 0, put G = 300/47
(100+300/47)/(100+0) = 1/false weight
so false weight = 940 gm

5. (c)
5% of full = 850 - 800 => full = 50/5*100 = 1000
6. (a)
7. (c)
8. (b)
9. (d)
80 gm mixture has 80% of 80 = 64 gm water and 16 gm milk
After adding 16 gm water , new % of water = (64+16)/(80+16)*100 = 83(1/3)
10. (d)
