Mission IBPS Exam : Quant Quiz (Quadratic Equation)

Directions (Q.1-5): In each of these questions, two equations (I) and (II) are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer
1) if x > y
2) if x < y
3) if x ≥ y
4) if x ≤ y
5) if x = y or relation cannot be established between 'x' and 'y'.

1. I.  8x+y=10
   II. 4x+2y=13

2. I.  (x+3) (y+2)=12
   II. 2xy+4x+5y=11

3. I. (3x-2)/y = (3x+6)/(y+16)
   II.(x+2)/(y+4) = (x+5)/(Y+10)

4. I.  x^2+20x+4=50-25x
   II. y^2-10y-24=0

5. I. (x^2-10x+16)/(x^2 -12x +24) = 2/3
   II. y^2-y-20=0

   II. 11x+4y+109=0

10. I. 2x^2-11x+12=0
   II. 2y^2-17y+36=0

x=7/12, y=16/3

2xy+5y+4x=11  ---- (ii)

48x-8y = 32 ---- (i)
(x+2)/(y+4) = (x+5)/(y+10)
