(1). 3
(2). 5
(3). 4
(4). 6

Answers and Solution:
1.(4) Let the total number of votes be 100
Number of uncast votes = 8
so Number of votes polled = 92
Number of votes obtained by winner = 48
so Number of votes obtained by the loser = 48-44 = 4
If the difference of win be 4 votes ,total voters = 100
so When the difference be 1100 votes,
So Total votes = 100/4*1100 = 27500

2.(3)
Let the numbers be x,y and Z which are prime to one another .
Now,xy = 551
yz = 1073
so y = HCF of 551 and 1073
so y = 29
so x = 551/29 = 19
and z = 1073/29 = 37
So sum = 19+29+37 = 85

3.(1)
4.(3)
The difference between compound interest and simple interest for two years
= p*(R)^2/(100*100)
so 1 = p*(4)^2/(100*100)
=> p = 625

5.(1)
6.(1)
We know that
W1/M1D1 = w2/M2D2
where x = no of man
=> 280/(72*21) = 100/(x*18)
x = 30

7.(3)
8.(2)
Let the third pipe empty the cistern in x minutes.
part of cistern filled in 1 minute when all three pipers are opened simultaneously
= 1/60 + 1/75 - 1/x
According to question
=> 1/60 + 1/75 - 1/x = 1/50
x = 100 minutes

9.(3)
10.(2)
