1) Jaipur becomes sixth city to operate Metro:
--> Jaipur has become the sixth city in the country with a metro.
--> Jaipur Metro is one of the fastest built metro systems in the country and was thrown open to public on 3 June 2015.
--> Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje flagged off the inaugural train on 9.6 km long route from Mansarovar to Chandpole. 

2) Suresh Kalmadi conferred with Asian athletics top award:
--> Suresh Kalmadi has been conferred with the Asian Athletics Association President’s award for his contribution towards the development of athletics in the continent.
--> Adille Sumariwala, the President of Athletics Federation of India received the award on behalf of Kalmadi.
--> He has served as the President of Indian Olympic Association from 1996 to 2012.

3) India signed global pact on automatic exchange of information on financial accounts:
-->  India has joined the global pact on exchange of information on financial accounts, a move expected to give a big boost to its fight against black money.
--> This system, when fully implemented, will enable India to receive information from almost every other country in the world including offshore financial centres.

4) Northern Railway rolled out first rail coach lit by solar panels:
--> Delhi division of the Northern Railway on 3 June 2015 rolled out a non-AC coach lit by solar panels installed on its roof.
--> Officials said this is the first time across railways that a solar photovoltaic system for power requirements of light and fan in a broad gauge coach has been provided.

5) Ex-IB chief Ibrahim made Special Envoy on Counter Terror:
--> Syed Asif Ibrahim, former chief of Intelligence Bureau, has been appointed as Special Envoy on Counter Terrorism and Extremism in the Prime Minister Office, five months after he retired from service.
--> The IPS officer of 1977-batch will report to National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and work from the National Security Council Secretariat, official sources said.
--> He had retired as IB Director in December 2014.

6) India and US signed Framework Agreement in defence:
--> India and United States signed a new strategically important 10-year defence framework pact on 3 June 2015, envisaging joint development and manufacture of equipment and technology.
--> Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said that the signing of the Framework Agreement 2015 between India and US will give way to better output.

7) Belarus State University conferred Professor Honoris Causa on President:
--> President Pranab Mukherjee was conferred with the Professor Honoris Causa by the Rector of the University at Sergey Ablameyko.
--> Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the roadmap would further energize the cooperation between the two countries.
--> Indian Ambassador to Belarus, Manoj Kumar Bharti was also present on the occasion.

8) Bust of Mahatma Gandhi unveiled in Belarus:
--> President Pranab Mukherjee unveiled a bust of Mahatma Gandhi at Belarus State University.
--> The President unveiled the bust at the university in the presence of Prof Sergey V Ablameyko, Rector of Belarusian State University and Minister of Education of Republic of Belarus.
