1) Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo wins Hungarian Grand Prix: Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull overtook Ferrari's Fernando Alonso near the end of the race to win a thrilling Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday, his second Formula One victory of the season and his career. Lewis Hamilton, who started from pit lane after his engine caught on fire during qualifying, was third, holding off Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg, who started from pole position.


2) Amitabh Bachchan named Maharashtra's horticulture ambassador: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been appointed as the horticulture ambassador of Maharashtra. The 71-year-old actor, who is also the face of Gujarat tourism, would be promoting the horticulture sector in Maharashtra. "Horticulture Ministry makes me Brand Ambassador for fruit products.. Jitendra Awhad, Minister promotes. I never knew Maharashtra was the number one state in fruit production of many varieties. Happy promoting it for Horticulture Ministry!," Bachchan posted on Twitter.

3) Bharti Airtel crossed 300-million customers milestone: Bharti Airtel, India's largest telecom firm, has crossed 300-million-customers mark across its mobile, fixed line, DSL and DTH services. The company, which began operations in 1995, reached the 100 million customers mark in 2009 and crossed the 200 million mark in 2012. The latest 100 million customers have joined the Airtel family in less than two years. The company ranks as the fourth largest mobile service provider globally and second largest globally outside of China, Airtel said in a statement.


4) Italian Vincenzo Nibali won 101st edition of Tour de France: Italian cyclist Vincenzo Nibali has been crowned '2014 Tour de France' champion. He is the 10th Italian overall and only the first since the Marco Pantani's glory in 1998 competition. He thus gets to wear the Yellow Jersey thats given to the Champion (overall race leader on total time since the start of the Tour) as a trophy
